After a successful career in textile design I missed being artistic after having my two daughters.
I always had a love for cooking (passed down from my dad and grandma) therefore I decided that my passion for baking & design could be combined.
Launching Poppy Pickering Cake Design has allowed me to still be creative and to realise my dream of baking & creating beautiful bespoke cakes for weddings and special celebrations.

I believe that my cakes should not just look beautiful but taste delicious too therefore I only use the freshest and finest ingredients.
All the preserves used are made by Rosebud Preserves based in Masham and I use local free range eggs, local dairy produce, real butter, Madagascan bourbon vanilla and Belgium cocoa & chocolate.
All of my cakes, biscuits and sweet treats are produced in an environment where gluten, nuts, milk and eggs are present.
I believe that my cakes should not just look beautiful but taste delicious too therefore I only use the freshest and finest ingredients.
