Jay & I Events began life in 1988 as Jay & I Services, and was established by Jay and his wife Indira.
Initially involved in videography, Jay's eye for detail helped him to recognise that Indian Wedding dcor lacked any creativity.
Identifying a gap in the market, Jay passionately launched a dcor service with a Hindu Wedding Mandap that was a complete innovation.
With the advent of new dcor possibilities and the growing affluence within the Asian community, the enthusiasm for imaginative dcor exploded.

We used many references to inspire the creation of the Grand Shivalee Palace Mandap.
Notably, the Opera House in Monte Carlo and the wondrous architecture of Rajasthan.
The matching balustrade backdrop and detail on the Mandap is entirely Indian, but the mandap arches connecting the pillars on the mandap were inspired by elements in the Opera House.
The Mandap consists of a variety of components that when put together evoke the majesty of opulent Rajput and Mughal palaces.
The Shivalee Balustrade is based on traditional Jali designs used across Rajasthan and creates a truly stunning wedding stage for any faith wedding be it a Hindu, Sikh or Muslim wedding celebration.
