Shelley's Cakes is a family business, I started the business over 25 years ago and now work alongside my daughter Kirstie. I came to cake decorating after qualifying with an HND in Catering and Hotel Management at Croydon College and following a successful career at Selfridges in London's Oxford Street in the catering department. After getting married and having children, my love of cakes developed over the years until it turned into a full time career.
I made the decision in 2017 to downsize and move the business to a dedicated studio at my home, where with the support of my daughter Kirstie, the business has grown from strength to strength. Kirstie is my office manager/social media guru & general ideas girl. She is the person who most of you will have first contact with if you call, email or message us with your enquiries.
Our studio is fully registered and has a 5* hygiene rating from Bromley Borough Environmental Health Department. We have level 2 food Hygiene certificate, Food Allergen Certificate and HCCAP principles certification.

However we hold our wedding consultation appointments at our showroom space at Chic Weddings & Events in Gravesend.
These are also by appointment only.
Wedding cake orders require a 250 non-refundable booking fee with the balance due one month before your wedding date.
We have level 2 Food Hygiene certificates along with Food Allergen and HACCP certificates.
We are fully insured with public liability also.

Deliveries to further destinations may incur a small fee.

Deliveries will be on the morning of your wedding unless the venue has approved a different time.
Stands for wedding cakes need to be returned to Shelley's Cakes 2 days after the wedding unless agreed upon on consultation for Shelley's Cakes to collect from the venue the next morning.
