Wedding Dance Lessons are a really fun part of your wedding preparation and something you can really enjoy together. We are based in Banbury, Oxfordshire and have wedding dance teachers covering the Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Gloucestershire. We also have a wedding dance teacher who covers the North Yorkshire region.

We also teach general dance lessons in most styles as well as run Hen and Stag parties, dance workshops for Corporate Team Building, Parties and Events!
It was set up in 2008 by Kerry Jay whose background was both in ballroom and latin from her mother's dance school, and her career in Musical Theatre and Commercial Dance.
So with a background of a wide array of styles, Kerry loves using all the different techniques to teach Take The Floor's clients the dance skills they are after!
We also teach general dance lessons in most styles as well as run Hen and Stag parties, dance workshops for Corporate Team Building, Parties and Events!

She 'trod the boards' in London's West End in shows such as Chicago, We Will Rock You and Grease; before working commercially for artists such as Sugababes, Blue and Groove Armada amongst many others in videos and tours.
After making the move to Oxfordshire to start a family, Kerry founded 'Take The Floor' - coaching and choreographing couples through that all important first wedding dance.
She has since expanded into hen do workshops, where-in fun routines are created for the bride and her friends' to their favourite song, as well as corporate team building workshops as well as regular private and group lessons.

We generally find that a normal front room has quite enough space and couples feel more relaxed in their own home.
If you can take 2 strides in one direction and 3 in the other then you have plenty of space for most wedding first dance routines.
You are also very welcome to use our space - in Banbury Kerry teaches out of a large extension area in her home which is large enough for most routines, and our Yorkshire teacher has similar.
If you prefer we can go to a larger space which we can arrange at a convenient location.

We start with a fun dance warm-up; play some dancing games to get you in the party mood; then crack on with your routine.
Dress up accessories are available and we are happy to film it for you using your cameras at the end.
We also provide a complimentary bottle of bubbly for breather time!
