Hi! We're The Big Town Boppers, a functions and wedding band in Southampton made up of five guys who love music. We've been playing music together for years, in every kind of band, of every style under the sun - it's taught us how to play well, understand music and made us all the best of friends. We love what we do and it shows - that's why the people who see us play love it too and have a great time.

We play at weddings, engagement parties, birthdays, works dos, charity events, festivals (big and small), corporate events, pubs and coffee shops - or just at home whenever we meet up. We know how to play songs from 50's Rock n' Roll all the way up to modern day chart toppers - with a ton of classics in-between.
We can do things loud and proud, or acoustic and chilled. Whatever you want, really - it's your party! We're live musicians, through and through. We've earned our skills through playing for real and we don't have any accompaniments or backing tracks.

We get asked a lot of odd questions, like "what IS that smell?!" - but here are some of the more sensible ones we get asked all the time.
Yes - we have public liability insurance for all events with the exception of festivals, which require their own.
We're pretty compact and can fit in most places with no worries.
As a guide, the minimum we can fit in is about the size of a car parking space, or five by ten-ish feet.
We're all very well acquainted and don't mind being smooshed in together for extended periods of time!

We believe that our rates are some of the best you can get for a professional band and we never charge more than a fair price.
We will agree a price on an individual basis - depending on your location, your event, the length of time you'd like us to play for and the number of special requests that you have (as these take time to rehearse).
Our word is our bond - we'll do everything we need to do to make sure your event goes off without a hitch (unless it's a wedding of course - we'd like to think someone would be getting hitched).
