Gift Of A Wedding
Quite simply, our charity is about bringing joy, love and happiness to those with a terminal or life-shortening illness. We do that by gifting wedding services and vow renewals to people regardless of age, race, religion, gender or sexual orientation with the help of the generous UK wedding and hospitality industry and gifted volunteers all around the UK.

The wonderful jewellery company, Custom & Co, based in Kent, have designed a stunning line of jewellery exclusively for Gift of a Wedding. If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else for one of our special days please take a look at our application criteria. Professionals from the wedding, medical and charity sectors have come together to create a distinctive non-profit organisation, whose objective is to give people battling a terminal or life-shortening illness a CHOICE.

Just imagine the financial and time constraints placed on a person who is terminally-ill. How would you cope? We hope you find our charity worthy of your support and we look forward to sharing the dreams and memories of some very special people.
Services
We aim to create a no-fuss, central focal point for people with a terminal or life-shortening illness who wish to marry.
It will also be the place where generous wedding and hospitality professionals wishing to donate their products and services can come to let us know how they can help.
Any business wishing to donate goods and services will be vetted, so recipients of our weddings can be secure in the knowledge that they will receive the best wedding products and services, from the best the UK wedding and hospitality industries have to offer.

The idea for Gift of a Wedding started in 2012 when our founder and wedding planner at the time, Patricia Harrison, was approached by a young man aged 27 who had recently discovered that he was terminally-ill with brain cancer.
Patricia and several other suppliers donated their services free of charge to put together the perfect wedding for this young man and his partner.
Gift of a Wedding is only able to keep its promise to fulfil dreams and create memories for people living in the UK with a terminal illness or life limiting illness through the unwavering generosity of the UK wedding industry and the talented members of the public.
Please help us to fulfil more wedding dreams by donating your time, skills and services for our special days.
A Gift-Giver is a wedding supplier or hospitality professional who wishes to donate their goods or services to one of our recipients of the Gift of a Wedding.
Cannot thank Gift of a Wedding enough for granting me and my now husband an amazing wedding and putting it together in the space of a week.
We quite literally could not have done it without them and will be forever grateful!
They put their all in into what they do and are with you every step of the way, always at the end of the phone if you need them.
We will treasure the memories of our wedding day forever.
I cannot put into words what this wonderful charity have managed over the past week.
I made contact with them and like magic they arranged, planned, decorated and were like angels.
The idea for Gift of a Wedding came to me in 2012 after I, an experienced wedding planner, and several other wedding suppliers offered our services free of charge to a young man aged 27 who had recently discovered that he was terminally-ill with brain cancer.
He was given 18 months to live.
This experience led me to conduct some research, where I unfortunately discovered that there were couples all over the UK affected by terminal illness who were struggling unnecessarily to create their dream days.
