I'm not going to pretend - this year has been a bit different from previous years for the obvious reason. Gintare and Luke had originally planned to have many guests from their native Lithuania and South Africa, but although their plans may have changed, they weren't going to let a little thing like that stop them. Anna and Simon's big day had a distinct military presence, with members of all three forces coming together to celebrate the moment.

Although I always try to give each wedding 100%, you know the pressure is really on when the groom is a) a good friend, and b) a very good wedding photographer himself. Joab happens to fit both these criteria. So Emilie and Joab's wedding in the beautiful Gower peninsular started off great and just got better as the day went on, though my favourite moment had to be Emilie opening Joab's gift to find the wrong date on it!

I grew up in rural Somerset in the 80s.
I've had an artistic temperament for most my life with a fondness of drawing from an early age, but despite this, a logical brain and career prospects pushed me in the direction of a computer science degree, which I attained from Swansea University in 1999.
Buying my first digital camera in 2001, I found it's combination of artistic creativity and technical wizardry appealed to me.
Several years back I decided I needed a better camera to capture the safari we were going on for our honeymoon, so I picked up a second hand Canon DSLR and taught myself how to use it for a year before the trip.
Although a ceremony may be over in a matter of minutes, I know from experience that a wedding lasts from first thing in the morning til late at night.
I have never booked more than one wedding shoot for a day, so you can be assured you will have my undivided attention.
I believe that wedding photography is not just about the bride and groom, but also about capturing the whole day from the little details of the bridal shoes, or the carefully scribed place names, to the smiles and reactions of friends and loved ones.
Thank you so much for the wonderful photographs you have produced for us following the wedding.
They are a very special remonder of the day which we know we will treasure for years to come!
James came to our attention via a friends recommendation.
These friends (luckily) were also getting married so we also got to see James at work.
He is friendly, professional and while a big reason we picked him was because of his skill at reportage style photography, his ability to execute more formal group shots is no small matter either.
