The Great Tythe Farm
Nestled in the Cotswolds and within walking distance of the historic market town of Tetbury, lies The Great Tythe Barn, surrounded by former farm buildings, now transformed into a stunning wedding venue with accommodation for up to 90 guests. Within the grounds, and based around a central Courtyard, are 10 self-catering cottages, 12 Bed and Breakfast rooms, and the picturesque Tythe House.

Perfect for family and friends to relax and enjoy the celebrations! Sympathetically restored, this historic Tythe barn retains many of its original features such as exposed stone walls and wooden oak beams whilst incorporating 21st Century comforts such as under floor heating, tastefully decorated washrooms, wooden flooring, atmospheric lighting and tall glass entrance doors to allow plenty of natural light and views of the courtyard.

The Great Tythe Barn pride itself in taking a flexible approach to your wedding plans, and our lovely team would be delighted to help! Situated at the end of a private driveway, this 16th Century Cotswold Manor House has been lovingly and faithfully restored to its former glory, whilst offering all the modern comforts required for a relaxing stay.
Services
Colonel Mungo Park Benton (the current Mr B's father!) bought Folly Farm for 7,000 which was abandoned and in bad repair due to it being a tenanted farm.
As a Colonel in the Horse Artillery, he needed land to turn the gun horses away for the holidays.
When he left the army, he converted the courtyard and buildings surrounding (the cottages we know today) into stables to enable him to have 60 high class hunters in the Winter from London, and 60 polo horses in the Summer.
The Colonel suffered with repeated bouts of pneumonia, Doctors suggested he went abroad to a hot country and so left to Southern Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe) and they let the Farm to Sir Peter Grant Lawson.
