Most of my gigs are wedding discos, but I dj at all types of event throughout the average year and have been a DJ in Sussex since 2000. This is a short video I did recently of setting up for a larger than usual type of party at "The Venue" in Chichester.
Not a great turn out but that's not down to me!
More down to lazy guests of the host.
Never mind it's mainly about the set up not the dancing.
Please excuse the chewing gum - I was giving up smoking, it was nicotine gum and I had no idea how yobbish I looked until after, but then it was too late!

I was just saying to Becky last night; One day we'll walk in with a few bits of hi-tech perspex and put on an amazing show without having to spend an hour setting it all up.

I send you out a confirmation upon TELEPHONE booking (usually via email or post mail if you require.)
This avoids the need for too-ing and fro-ing of contracts in the post so everybody knows that its booked and done after your deciding phone call.

If through an act of God I can't make it to your event I will do everything within my power to call up a replacement on your behalf.
Be assured though that I have NEVER not turned up to a gig yet.
I will usually need about an hour to set up (add half an hour for uplighter package) and the same to take down the show and will ideally require about 10' x 10' space with two 13 amp power sockets.

If there's anything particular that you want played and you don't see it (indexed here by artist) I can usually get hold of it if you give me enough notice.

Just ask.

Weddings/civil partnerships are a landmark occasion in your relationship by their very nature and so should be fun and well organized as they will be remembered not just by the bride and groom but by family and friends for life.
It follows therefore, that you need a professional wedding DJ (watch out for amateurs supplied by hotels at budget rates) who will show up (!) and smooth things along nicely, announcing the various stages such as the first dance /bouquet toss etc. with confidence and authority -oh and with a decent microphone and sound system too.
