The Priory was created as a wedding venue in 1992 by John and Ann Hope, who since then, have opened their home each year to couples looking to find that uniquely special place to host their ceremonies and receptions.

At the heart of this historic setting is the tithe barn, built in 1541 by James Needham who was carpenter to King Henry VIII.

We can accommodate a maximum of 150 guests in the day and up to 180 guests in the evening.
If you are planning to book The Priory for your reception following a ceremony elsewhere it is important to consider travel distances between venues, so do talk to us about timings before confirming a booking.
Your arrival time is not fixed; however, we suggest arriving between 2 and 3pm to provide sufficient time to complete your day reception before the evening party begins and evening guests arrive.

All catering is provided in-house by our on-site head chef, Jeff Patterson.
Prior to taking over the kitchen at The Priory, Jeff was the private chef to the Governor of Bermuda and was responsible for all catering held at Government House, including cooking for Her Majesty The Queen when she visited the island in 1994.
During his time in Bermuda, Jeff became a specialist in creating delicious dishes on a large scale and he has devised a range of signature dishes so you may create a mouth-watering menu of your own.
