Hi, I'm Kate and Little Button Bakery is my business. I live in Marple with my husband, two children and our pet sausage dogs and silkie chickens. I created Little Button Bakery in 2012 after starting a family and not wishing to go back to my previous career as a primary school teacher. I have always loved baking and being creative and set up Little Button Bakery when my children were young as a way to continue working around my family.
I wanted to establish a business that I would be able to build up slowly until I could devote more time to it once my children went to school full time. Little Button Bakery now has a firmly established place in the North West wedding industry and over the years I have won numerous awards for my wedding cakes. My work has also featured in many high profile wedding magazines and wedding blogs.
I absolutely love what I do and it is fantastic to be recognised for my work in such a fast paced and highly competitive industry. I am exceptionally passionate about wedding cakes and strive for excellence and perfection in everything I do.

I use the highest quality ingredients I can find and source a lot of my fresh dairy produce from within the North West from Hopewell Farm Foods.
All of my eggs are organic from Old Bell Farm in North Lancashire where the chickens are free to roam and have a wonderfully happy life.
Sometimes my eggs may even come from my own Silkie chickens!
Wedding cakes are filled with delicious Swiss meringue buttercream, soft Belgian chocolate ganache, homemade salted caramel or amazing jams & curds from 'The Cherry Tree'.
