Being a Lake District wedding photographer based in Cumbria I get to travel and see the incredible landscape this county has to offer at least once a week. I think the Lake District is the perfect location for a wedding or elopement as it offers a beautiful contrast of pure luxury and ruggedness all in the same location, the perfect setting for breathtaking wedding photos.

It's just one of the many reasons us wedding photographers in the lake district utterly adore photographing weddings and elopements. Put simply, I want to create beautifully authentic photography, in a creative and modern way that's bespoke to you, for future generations to enjoy. I'm a documentary and fine art-styled wedding photographer based in Carlisle, Cumbria.

I'm not limited to the Lake District and Cumbria though and I regularly travel up and down the country taking creative wedding photos. My photography has even taken me to the USA and also Italy. So if you're planning a destination wedding or an elopement, please get in touch, as I would love to be your wedding photographer.
Services
I photograph people in love.
It is actually that simple.
It is also where my agenda starts and ends.
Nothing more, nothing less.
I adore photography and I am so blessed to do this as my full-time job, it is actually unreal!
I used to be a sound engineer, working alongside some huge names and a lot of stand up comics.
What happens when you mix a Fine Art landscape photographer, Street photographer and a BBC photojournalist into a wedding?
I started my love of photography by photographing the landscape around me. Norfolk is where I grew up and that was what a lot of my artwork was based upon.
Finding the right photographer can be a hard task.
That said, as long as you're sensible and love the work they produce and how they produce it, then you shouldn't go wrong.
I only photograph a maximum of 35 weddings per year.
I do this so that I can give you all the time you need, while also remaining productive and efficient with delivering your photos.
Well, when I was first starting out, I was working with a photographer who did over 100 weddings per year.
We were in the car one day and I asked what the couple's names were and the reply floored me.
I have been photographing Fine Art landscapes from the age of 13, it was my first love and something I am still passionate about today.
It was in fact what brought me to Cumbria in the first place.
While I don't photograph landscapes in the commercial way my fine art landscapes are still available as prints should you wish to display one on your wall or office desk.
This acid-free, cold press, cotton-based archival paper reproduces colours, tones and details - and secures them for years to come.
It's your big day and I'd consider it a privilege to be able to tell the story of your wedding with a set of beautiful photographs that you'll treasure forever.
I'm an experienced and creative wedding photographer and I'd like to think I've become adept at capturing those special, and sometimes unexpected moments.
I favour a relaxed, documentary-style approach, remaining unobtrusive, as I capture natural shots that don't feel posed or make guests feel self-conscious about having their photograph taken.
You two choose your stunning location and then focus on the most important part of a wedding day - your vows, while I concentrate on documenting your memories to last a lifetime.
If you fancy running away to the Lakes together, take me along and I'll photograph the biggest adventure of your life!
We can go anywhere!
Elopement honours the essence of getting married and your relationship is the priority.
I can be as adventurous as you - I'll climb a Cumbrian fell like Helvellyn, or the Langdales, stopping off at scenic locations like Blea Tarn or hike to a scenic spot with Lake Windermere as a stunning backdrop.
