It all started in 2011, when I, Karen, got married myself. As a bride who wanted to plan a wedding that wasn't the usual, traditional affair, I sought high and low for alternative wedding suppliers in the South East. This wasn't an easy feat! Continually frustrated by the lack of boho and alternative wedding dresses on offer, I decided to start my own boho bridal boutique to serve those brides just like me.
We're not all about long, strapless gowns covered in bling and why should we have to settle for something less than amazing? In 2014, I opened Rock the Frock Essex, initially a small boutique in Battlesbridge Antique Centre. After a couple of years, we had outgrown the space so moved to Chelmsford, where our flagship is today. With brides travelling to see us from all over the country, I realised that the UK needed more Rock the Frock in their lives, and I so decided to franchise.
