Adore is one of the longest running bridal and occasion businesses in Essex, having first started trading in Chelmsford in 1990, and now operating from our lovely pink shop on the corner of Wells Street and Railway Street. At the end of each year, designers discontinue a number of gowns to make way for next season's collections.
Here you will find a great selection of fabulous discontinued styles at amazing prices, which can be bought off-the peg and taken home the same day.

We stock an amazing, affordable range of bridal belts from our own in-house label Julia Joseph, designed to add glamour and sparkle to your gown.
Each belt is handmade using the best duchess satin fabric, with a hand sewn exquisite diamante, crystal or pearl applique adornment.
The satin belt can be made to any length and width.
Alternatively, the applique adornment can be sewn directly to your gown at no extra charge if you prefer.

New guidelines are now in place in order to give customers the reassurance they need to shop in a safe and stress-free environment.
However your virtual bridal party is very welcome to join us via Facetime, Whatsapp or Zoom using our shop Wi-Fi to connect.
If for any reason you cannot make it to your appointment, you are more than welcome to reschedule for another time.
If you are able to give us at least 24 hours notice of cancelling this would be ideal.
If however you have to cancel unexpectedly, don't worry, just give us a call to let us know, and we will be more than happy to book you in for another time.

Once you have decided on your dress, we will measure your bust, waist, hips and length, and then use the suppliers size chart to decide which standard size is best to order for you.
We will then write out an invoice for your order, and ask for a 50% deposit which can be paid by cash, credit/debit card or cheque.
Or we can arrange for you to pay by installments - please ask about our INTEREST FREE PAYMENT PLAN.
Your dress is ordered from our suppliers and takes approximately 8-12 weeks for most bridesmaids and occasion dresses, and 12-20 weeks for most bridal dresses to come into stock.

As a guide, we recommend that you allow at least 6-8 weeks before the wedding/occasion date for your first fitting.
