Wedding Designs By David McConkey
As a wedding florist and a wedding planner I have thirty years of experience making couples weddings very special. I am experienced at working within all levels of budget in all environments, and I would welcome the opportunity of working with you. My studio, located in Ballynahinch, is home to my consultations rooms, offices and design studio, where I create the unique flower arrangements we've become known province-wide for.

I welcome callers to the studio by appointment, where I will take the time to get to know you, discuss your requirements and start to turn your dream into a reality. My name is David McConkey and I have been a florist for almost 30 years, specialising in wedding floristry. Approximately 5 years ago I found there was a market for a wedding planner in Northern Ireland and so my service "The Brides Butler" was created.

I always had a passion for flowers from a very early age, and I discovered that I also loved working alongside brides to help create what they are looking for.
Services
My gift bouquets come presented in a beautiful gifted box, the flowers can be in any colour you request but please bear in mind that various flowers are unavailable at certain times of the year but I will always do my best to fulfil your requested colours.
Online orders are normally delivered between 24 & 48hrs of the being placed, unless a specific date is given.
All my bouquets are made with seasonable flowers.
As the world returns to normal and weddings are taking place again I've had to put the online store on hold for a few months.
The flowers in the church can be as simple or as dramatic you want them to be, if you are the bride who wants her guests to go WOW as they enter a church, I would suggest you have flowers outside, may be an arch of flowers and then fabulous tall stands dressing the aisle of the church and a few large church pedestals at either side of the altar.
Always remember that all of these flowers can be re-used at your reception.
The table centrepiece is a very important arrangement at a wedding reception, as a guest at a table you want the flowers either to be sitting low on the table or on a tall vase or stand in the centre.
You never want to block the view of a guest chatting around a table.
In this gallery you will get an idea of what can be created for you.
I'm honoured to be the supplier and designer of all the flowers that are placed within The Hastings Group; from The Culloden Hotel in Holywood to The Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle.
I also design the flowers for the newest of the Hastings hotels, The Grand Central Hotel, which is situated in the centre of Belfast.
Each hotel has a fantastic entrance foyer which allows me to create something fabulous, from large all-round arrangements which are usually placed in the Culloden and the Slieve Donard to displays of tall, elegant vases in The Grand Central.
Planning a wedding can be a complex task and can be quite easy for a couple to underestimate the amount of time it actually takes.
In todays society the majority of people work longer hours, have hectic social lives and run a family.
So as you can imagine it's difficult to find the time.
It takes time and effort to trawl through endless internet sites, attend wedding fayres and search through magazines to find the perfect wedding details that suit you and your budget.
Money always plays quite an important role in a wedding.
