Welcome to Mairi MacSween Designs, a design studio in Edinburgh who specialises in luxury wedding stationery, greetings cards and digital prints which incorporate my own illustration. I'm Mairi and live in Leith with my husband, wee girl and boy, two goldfish and large collection of house plants! A textile graduate from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design, I lived in Japan for a year after art college before returning to Scotland to start Mairi MacSween Designs in 2002.
I originally started designing and making greetings cards but was commissioned to design some wedding stationery and never looked back. Here I am scrubbed up on my own wedding day in 2014 but I am normally working away in my studio in Leith in my trusty dungarees! My award winning stationery is all meticulously handmade with great attention to detail and I love working with clients from thoughout the UK to create their dream wedding stationery.

WE CAN CREATE STUNNING 'ON THE DAY' STATIONERY TO MATCH YOUR WEDDING INVITES INCLUDing TABLE PLans, table names, place cards, menus and order of service/ceremony.
Table plans let your guests know where they are sitting and can be tied in with your venue styling and decor.
Depending on the number of guests they are either A1 or A2 and the panels are attached to mounting board.
Whether you are having a religious or civil ceremony an order of service/ceremony lets your guests know what to expect.
The order of service is a booklet with a paper insert available in two sizes and the order of ceremony is printed on a sheet of card.

For a pencil sketch or watercolour painting of your wedding venue, an artwork charge applies.
This would be 90-120 depending on the illustration.
This includes a copy of the original to keep.
If we already have an illustration of your venue then no artwork charge would apply.
The invitation prices would be the same as the styles in collections.

We offer many additional services including printing your guests names in your invites or printing your guests names and addresses on your envelopes.

We have a large selection of double satin or tartan ribbon available to match your colour scheme or theme.
We can also source ribbon for you.
You can choose your own typeface and the wordings can be adapted to suit your requirements.
If you have a particular typeface in mind - it's not a problem to use that.
